We were on a tight schedule when spending time in Portland, Oregon but asked Vine to Wine if they could plan a “Pinot trip” for the day to the Willamette Valley. All the details, including the amazing selection of wineries and beautiful tasting rooms overlooking the countryside, introduction to winery owners and staff, directions and schedules were incredible. The recommendations for lunch and dinner were “tastefully” done as we enjoyed Pacific Northwest cuisine. What a fantastic experience! Looking forward to spending more time in this area and working with Vine to Wine to plan our next itinerary.
From the moment we arrived at our Italian decorated spa-like destination in Healdsburg, CA till the moment we had our 1st drop of fabulous wine at the Baci Café and Wine Bar, we were in heaven. Vine to Wine Concierge planned our honeymoon according to our personal tastes from visiting Sonoma, Napa and San Francisco. Every detail was carefully planned. Rod from Vine to Wine Concierge gave us an outline of restaurants he knew we would love, along with making sure our places to stay would fit us well. Wine country is so beautiful but can be overwhelming with the choices of vineyards to go to. Rod made it easy to go to the best ones. Our next designation by Vine to Wine Concierge was San Francisco’s Intercontinental Hotel in the most accessible location of the city. If there was a 10-star rating this hotel would get it. I recommend going to their Michelin-starred Luce Restaurant offering American- style breakfast and lunch and transforming into a destination wine restaurant for dinner. There is so much to do in San Francisco and Rod tailored all the sites to our liking. We hope to visit another one of his Vine to Wine Concierge planned trips in Oregon next or if we are lucky we will go back to CA and do it all over again!
Our week in Sonoma was unforgettable thanks to our friend and guide, Sandy. Had we simply been handed a list of the region's wineries, we would not have had a clue where to begin, nor would we have been greeted so graciously by many of the wineries. Each of our days was carefully planned. Our week began with good wines and progressed to outstanding samples of the region so that our palate became more refined and discerning as the week drew to a close. Sandy's knowledge and advance arrangements with wineries meant that we were treated to a variety of special tasting experiences – educational and pleasurable. Because Sandy chose our itinerary to expose us to beautiful landscapes and architecture of Sonoma, this aspect of our vacation was enriching for our visual senses as well.
In addition to the experience of winery visits, we enjoyed several nights dining out at exceptional restaurants in the area that were recommended by Sandy.
This was a vacation experience like no other. Not only did we learn a great deal about wine, but we also were able to relax and leave the planning to Sandy.
Thank you so much to Rod Shedd for his amazing job of finding the perfect wine tour for us! We had a wonderful relaxing day tasting our way through Sonoma Valley. Not only was our tour guide very knowledgeable about the different wineries we were going to, but also on all the background behind the different kinds of wine. For two young people who just wanted to enjoy a day of amazing wine, we came out knowing a thing or two about wine history. We will be sure to use Vine to Wine services again for our next wine country adventure!
Visiting Sonoma County with its rolling hills and varying viticulture areas was my idea of a perfect vacation. Vine to Wine's knowledge of this beautiful and peaceful area with consideration of my palate for wine and food selections allowed me to enjoy simple and elegant tasting rooms and an assortment of local eateries and fine restaurants. All of this along with warm and cozy places to stay made for a memorable experience. I look forward to my next venture with Vine to Wine.
When we took our trip to Napa we didn’t really know what to expect – of course we knew we’d visit wineries – and yet we weren’t that familiar with wine country. Vine to Wine put together an exceptional variety of winery experiences including educational seminars, food and wine pairings and private tastings that would have been impossible for us to duplicate on our own. We were delighted and will definitely book through Vine to Wine again.
Vine to Wine created an extraordinary experience for me. Rod Shedd was able to tailor the perfect trip; suggesting an elegant B&B in Healdsburg, a list of boutique wineries with a personal introduction to the owners, and a guide to restaurants and services that were bar none. I enjoyed talking directly with some of the vineyard owners, learning about how they make their wines and where their passion came from. Rod made the planning easy, saved me a great deal of time, and created an experience tailored to my personality and what I was looking for in a vacation. I can’t wait to plan my next trip!
Our trip with Vine to Wine through the hills of California was a truly memorable event. Every aspect of our trip from wonderful accommodations to well-planned winery stops made the very best of every moment we were touring. Wine touring was the primary focus of our trip, but we also sampled olive oil and local fare while exploring the hillsides. We enjoyed our trip so much that we asked them to arrange a tour for us through the Eastern Counties of Quebec. Wine and cider…now that was a tour!
